GO FAR FALL End of Season Race Day Event

GO FAR Race day is Saturday, November 10th, 2012!  

Race Registration is Open and will close 10 p.m. Friday, November 2nd!

Even if you registered in the beginning of the season you need to register specifically for this event, so we can better organize who will be attending.

These codes were in the email sent to all parents with an email on the GO FAR student list. If you have not received this email please check your spam folder.

Coaches volunteering to RUN are to use the code sent in the email as well.

This code is only applicable for one race per child! This code is for GO FAR students ONLY! Parents and other racers must register thru OBSE. Please do not share this code or use for anyone other than a GO FAR student as we will be monitoring registration. 

Parents or anyone other than the GO FAR student must register thru Outer Banks Sporting Events: http://www.obxmarathon.org/site3.aspx

 On the participant information page please choose under race category the race that is appropriate for your child; 1 mile fun run, 5k, or 8k.

These are titled as the Outer Banks Sporting Events (OBSE) races , but they are still the GO FAR event. OBSE is our host and we thank them for allowing us to use their registration process and race day events.  

Payment Reminders: 

You will not be charged for this event, because this was included in the fee at the beginning of the season. The fee at the beginning of the season includes a GO FAR T-shirt and Medal. This does not include a Buccaneer (obse) shirt and medal as this is a separate race and fee. GO FAR 5k and 8k will be timed. 

Packet-Pick-Up (shirt, bib, check-in):

ALL GO FAR STUDENTS MUST COME TO PACKET PICK UP OR HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP THEIR PACKET FOR THEM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS!

Health Expo: Thursday, November 8, 2012 2-6 Parks & Rec KDH

Come check-out the health expo for a good time for the whole family!! There are activities, promotions, and information that all family members will benefit from. 

Get in the groove for race day!

Friday, November 9, 2012 12-7 Parks & Rec KDH

The expos are a great way to get pumped-up for race day and the best opportunity to receive the correct information (bib and check-in) ahead of time!  

 Please arrange to attend one of the expos.. There is NO RACE DAY Packet-Pick-UP!  

  If your child is not attending race day, please still come pick-up your GO FAR T-shirt at the Expo on Thurs or Fri - this is the only way to get the T-shirt and it will still be a great opportunity to be able to take in some of the end of season action and family activities!!

Race event is in the same location as Outer Banks Sporting Events' Races at the First Flight School Track and Football Field. Please meet at the GO FAR tent on your left as you enter field.  

8 k starts at 8am, arrive at 7:30 for warm-up and placement

5k starts at 10am, arrive by 9:30 for warm-up and placement

Fun Run 1 mile starts at 11 am, arrive by 10:30 for warm-up and placement
